Going out to the movies is a fun outing, but it can get expensive!! Lucky for us there are several theaters in the area that have come up with specials to attract parents and kids. Here’s the scoop:

New but not brand new movies at a steep discount (called the “dollar theater” even though it’s a little more than that). You can also sign up for weekly emails that include concession coupons.
100 South Central Expressway, Richardson
Kids Camp: movies in the summer for $1-$3, with online tickets to reserve your seats in advance. 100% of ticket sales are donated to local nonprofits working to make our community a better place. No babies, please.
Baby Day: special showings for parents and their babies. Any movie before 2pm on Tuesdays.
Sensory Friendly Films: the lights are up, the sound is down and moving around is welcomed
Studio Movie Grill
Plano, The Colony and Lewisville
Family Rewind: every third Wednesday of the month they play an old “family favorite” movie for just $3/ticket.
Girls Night Out: every second Wednesday of the month they show a favorite “chick flick” for just $3/ticket
Toons!: on weekends they show direct-to-DVD cartoons that are not yet for sale for just $3/ticket
Special Needs Screenings: current hit movies shown with the lights up, the sound down and moving around is welcomed. Adult tickets are the before-noon price.

Crybaby Matinee: Relax and enjoy a movie without worrying about unexpected tantrums or feedings in the dark. We keep the lights dimmed, the sound volume down, and the movies coming.
