The Plano ISD Board of Trustees has approved the 2015-16 school calendar.  School starts on August 24 and ends on June 3.  We get a full week off for Thanksgiving again, and Spring Break is March 7-11.  View the full calendar here.

St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church is looking for donations of shoes, evening wraps, jewelry, and handbags for their seventh annual Prom Closet.  Drop off donations on Saturday and Sunday before services in the Narthex and outside the bookstore, and during the week in Room 126 or the Missions area.  Monetary donations are also welcome. Give to a church staff member or mail to the church. Please note “Prom Closet” on checks.  The store (with 3,000+ dresses sizes 0-28!) will be open Tuesday-Thursday, March 24-26 from 4-8pm and Saturday, March 28 from 9am-noon.  Dresses are FREE, girls must shop only for themselves.  For more information call the church office at 972-380-8001, or email [email protected].

Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Plano Public Library System by participating in the Create a Bookmark Contest. Show why you love the library and enter your bookmark in the contest by Saturday, March 14. Winners will be selected from five categories: ages 5-7, ages 8-10, ages 11-13, ages 14-18 and adults. Along with gift card prizes for winners, the winning bookmarks will be printed and distributed at the libraries, and will be displayed on planolibrary.org.
