A design for the new Plano Skatepark @ Carpenter Park was selected in January and the groundbreaking should be happening at the end of this year with the project complete late 2017. The skating area will be about half an acre.

A new Frisco mixed-use project just east of the Tollway, Frisco Fresh Market, will have a centerpiece farmers market with 70,000 square feet of indoor facilities and 10,000 square feet of outdoor facilities. It will also include office buildings, apartments and a hotel. There will be test kitchens, sheds with produce, seasonal vegetables and food plus a performance lawn with outdoor activities. Construction starts this fall.

  • School of Rock is coming to 1501 Preston Rd, Plano! They plan to open on March 1st. My older son participated in their program at the Memphis and Frisco schools and it was a great experience.
