In celebration of J.K. Rowling’s upcoming “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,” come dressed as your favorite Harry Potter character for some fun suitable for kids and teens: scavenger hunt, PSO musical performance, crafts, costume contest (teens and children in 2 categories). NOTE: This event is also happening at the Stonebriar and Park/Preston stores, but the Plano Symphony Orchestra is only at the Creekwalk Village store.

The Emmy Award-winning Saturday morning educational cartoon series and pop culture phenomenon is now the basis for one of the most fun and easily mounted musicals ever to hit the stage, Schoolhouse Rock Live! JR. This musical follows Tom, a young schoolteacher, who is nervous about his first day of teaching. He tries to relax by watching TV, when various characters representing facets of his personality emerge from the set and show him how to win his students over with imagination and music. Memorable songs as “Just a Bill,” “Lolly, Lolly, Lolly” and “Conjunction Junction” bring his lesson plans vividly to life. General seating tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. One hour performance suitable for all ages.

Movies in the Park: Star Wars, The Force Awakens
The Historic Downtown Plano Association is excited to release the first-ever Movies in the Park series in the Arts District. In addition to the film screenings, food trucks will be on site to sell refreshments. There will be a best-dressed costume contest for Star Wars so bring out your best Chewbacca or Kylo-Ren! All showings will begin at 8:00pm in Haggard Park and are free to the public.
