Trout Derbies
Towne Lake Recreation Area, McKinney: 8am-noon
Enjoy the outdoors catching trout. Cosponsored by Texas Parks and Wildlife, this is a family-friendly event. Participants must bring their own pole and bait. Ages 16 and under free. Participants over 16 pay $3 and must have a Freshwater Fishing License. Free hot dog roast, prizes for biggest fish, smallest fish and a casting contest
Murphy City Complex Pond, Murphy: 9-11:30am
Bring your own pole, limited bait and supplies available. On-site registration begins at 8:30am. Specific times for each age group (ages 0-17), prizes too.

Dinosaurs Live
Heard Museum, McKinney

A one-man circus featuring juggling, plate spinning and balancing tricks, balloon twisting, and much more! All Ages. Free.
