Texas Heritage Festival

toe-tappin’, knee-slappin’ Western music, local artisans, historical demonstrations, and interactive children’s activities (like “cow patty” tossing!) You can also rustle up some tasty Texas grub, say “Howdy” to our resident wildlife ambassadors, and explore the Native Texas Butterfly Garden. Adults: $10, seniors 60+ & children 3-12: $7, members, McKinney residents free.

Peter and the Wolf
Meyerson Symphony Center, Dallas

Project Trio joins the Dallas Symphony in reinventing Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf. This contemporary version will inspire imaginations young and old.

Get your geek on.  FXD Kids Lounge open 10am-5pm – Meet us in the Kid’s Lounge where you’ll get to dress up as a Superhero, show off your coloring skills, and maybe even meet Groot! Families are invited to drop in with their children 12 years old or younger.

LEGO Americana Roadshow
Stonebriar Centre, Frisco
Giant replicas of the nation’s most recognizable landmarks made from thousands of LEGO® bricks will be on display throughout Stonebriar Centre. Ten one-of-a-kind, large scale models of American landmarks made completely out of LEGO® bricks by LEGO® Master Builders.  LEGO Model Make & Take Saturday & Sunday noon-4pm: build your own Statue of Liberty LEGO model.  Free

Safari Nights
Dallas Zoo
Saturday 5-9pm
Embrace a blend of nature and live music on shady Cat Green. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs to enjoy the show, or reserve a six-person cabana.  Lion keeper talk starts at 5pm, elephant keeper 6pm, other animal presentations and then the concert starts at 7pm.
