Bike the Bricks
Historic Downtown McKinney
Friday 3-11pm
Experience the heart-racing thrills of FIAT of McKinney’s Bike the Bricks on Friday, May 22 from 3-11 p.m. as criterium racers from all over the nation battle it out on the bricks and tight turns of Historic Downtown. Spectators are merely inches from the action as riders rocket past powered only by their legs and protected from the pavement only by their skill. Bring the whole family to enjoy food, spirits and festivities at this free cycling event in Historic Downtown McKinney.  Free

LEGO Americana Roadshow
Stonebriar Centre, Frisco
Saturday through June 7th
Giant replicas of the nation’s most recognizable landmarks made from thousands of LEGO® bricks will be on display throughout Stonebriar Centre.   Ten one-of-a-kind, large scale models of American landmarks made completely out of LEGO® bricks by LEGO® Master Builders.  At 2pm on Saturday there will also be a Memorial Day parade including Boy and Girl Scouts, the Wakeland High School drummers and the Frisco Chorale.

A Salute to America
St. Andrew United Methodist Church, Plano
Sunday 4pm
The 10th anniversary celebration of “A Salute to America” Memorial Day weekend free community concert. The concert will feature the St. Andrew Chancel Choir and Imperial Brass, the Bells of St. Andrew, and the Salt and Light Youth Choir, performing a variety of patriotic and Americana music. Free snow cones will be served following the concert.

Summer Sounds Concert
Joe Farmer Recreation Center, Allen
Monday 7pm
The Allen Philharmonic Orchestra and Symphony Chorus returns for its wonderful Memorial Day concert and tribute event. Not only will you delight in music from contemporary composers, but there will be activities designed to honor our veterans and servicemen and women. As always, the event concludes with a patriotic fireworks show and traditional symphony etiquette applies.
