Celebrate Latino Arts & Culture with activities for the entire family. 2pm – Bilingual Storyteller Solina Marquis, 3pm – México 2000 Ballet Folklórico presents Fiestas de México, where attendees will actively participate, play rhythms with hands and feet, and learn a dance from Mexico, 4pm – Native Mexican Crafts. Carnival of the Animals
McKinney Performing Arts Center
Camille Saint-Saëns famous work paints a picture of the variety of creatures in the animal kingdom through music by the Plano Symphony Orchestra. The concert will also feature puppeteers from Le Theatre de Marionette and Geppetto’s Marionette Theater. The concert day begins at 2:15 with activities such as crafts, coloring, Be a Conductor, and the popular Instrument Petting Zoo, a hands-on experience where kids can see, hear and play different instruments. Concert starts at 3pm
3rd Sunday Open House
Frisco Heritage Museum
Bring the family and spend a fun-filled afternoon touring all the historic buildings, watching the blacksmith’s at work and a special presentation from the Frisco Garden Club on seasonal gardening. Kids can plant their own little garden and learn about Earth Day. All activities are free.
