If your kids like Legos you need to get to Stonebriar Centre to check out the free LEGO Americana Roadshow before it’s gone! There are 10 massive replicas of important United States landmarks in six different spots in the mall, plus a building area and a convertible full of Legos.
If you enter the mall at any of the anchors you’ll be near one of the model displays. There are maps near each display that include questions older kids can answer – a scavenger hunt. Each model also has a large sign nearby that gives information on the landmark and how it was built.
The details on the models are incredible. I had a tough time getting my kids to look at them all, but I sure enjoyed it!
The Lego building area (outside JC Penney) has both regular and Duplo blocks, two ramps for racing vehicles and several display cases so you can share your creation. They even have little signs available so you can add your name to your creation.
I’m curious to hear how many Legos there are in the car, as my kids were guessing all over the place. In that area there is also one other Lego display that is space themed. That was a big hit with them.
If you go this weekend your kids can build a model Statue of Liberty for free! Saturday, May 30 & Sunday May 31 from noon-4pm, while supplies last.
